The owner of an established Caribbean infrastructure company was beginning to think about succession after more than 20 years of building the business. He did not want to run a public process or spend his time speaking with dozens of potential buyers; his priority was to keep running the business while quietly identifying the right long-term successor.
We worked alongside the owner to design a confidential buyer outreach strategy focused on quality over quantity. Our role was to handle early-stage buyer identification and qualification so he could stay focused on day-to-day operations.
We researched strategic buyers and investors aligned with the owner’s objectives and prepared confidential marketing materials that could be shared selectively. We then personally reached out to qualified buyers across the Caribbean, conducted introductory calls to understand each buyer’s experience, acquisition objectives, and strategic fit, and coordinated NDAs and introductions back to the owner only when there was clear alignment.
The engagement led to conversations with qualified strategic buyers and industry operators who recognized the value of the business and expressed interest in learning more. By managing outreach and qualification, we helped the owner save time, maintain confidentiality, and focus only on meaningful discussions that supported his succession goals.
